WHO WE ARE

PROSAMI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2009 and headquartered in Virginia. We focus on the promotion of maternal and infant health in the Democratic Republic Of Congo (DRC). PROSAMI establishes adequately equipped and successful maternity clinics and programs.

We provide access to proper prenatal, delivery, and postpartum care. We aim to decrease maternal and infant mortality in the DRC with special focus on midwifery training and allocating equipment. PROSAMI seeks to define and improve the standard of care applicable to the rural context.
