Objectives
To increase the number of births attended by skilled professionals
To improve the availability and access to higher quality of care
To utilize telemedicine technology for each nurse midwife class to improve medical knowledge and skills
To ensure personnel are skilled at recognizing symptoms and health indicators
To establish effective maternal, newborn and Infant health programs with skilled staff
To provide comprehensive education in perinatal care
PROSAMI is dedicated to improving access to educational programs and training for nurses, thus increasing the number of births attended by skilled healthcare personnel. We have successfully trained 16 advanced nurse midwives, who currently work at the Pilot Center. They have been trained to deal with labor complications and have preformed remarkable interventions in the delivery room to keep the babies and mothers alive.
Telemedicine training and education materials are provided to nurses during their enrollment as part of PROSAMI’s approach to improving collaborative methods of educating and increasing accessibility to knowledge, classwork, and Nurse Midwife instructors.
